In response to growing concerns over the levels of violence in today’s society, Lone Tree Jujutsu has developed an After School Martial Arts course which has the emphasis firmly placed on skill over strength – making it ideally suited for children.
The primary aim of the course is to equip children with some of the basic skills needed to successfully tackle the menace of bullying and to increase confidence in their ability to deal safely with conflict. The course is very flexible and can be adapted to suit all ages from 5yrs plus.
The programme we offer is called ‘Learn & Achieve’, and is currently active within local schools. It is a flexible and fun programme that incorporates the basic principles of:
The course is intended to improve both concentration and co-ordination – skills that can be transferred to the classroom, making the course especially suitable for under-achievers.
The ‘Learn & Achieve’ programme runs on a term-by-term basis. We provide all of the necessary equipment and there is no cost to the school, as pupils taking part pay a small fee per session directly to us (payable per term, in advance).
As you would expect from someone offering this service, Dave Huntley of Lone Tree has over 30 years experience of Martial Arts, and has undergone thorough police checks and comprehensive First Aid training.
If you have any questions regarding the ‘Learn & Achieve’ programme or would like to discuss the potential benefits to your school of establishing an after-school club then please email us: info@lonetree.org.uk
