Instructors

Lone Tree Jujutsu currently operates under the guidance of 3 fully qualified Instructors. Additionally, several of our Dan Grade students have undergone a Martial Arts Coaching programme. Between them, our Instructors bring a wide range of experience and are therefore able to teach the complete range of Jujutsu skills - from Sports Kumite, through to Traditional Forms.

SENSEI DAVE HUNTLEY is the Founder of Lone Tree.

He brings to Lone Tree over 30 years experience of Martial Arts. As an International Instructor, he is widely known and respected both nationally and internationally, training with some of the most famous martial artists around the world. Sensei has studied various forms of marital arts although for the past 20 years he has focussed on Japanese fighting styles (primarily Jujutsu) using both weapons and unarmed defence.

Sensei Dave has great respect for all classical Martial Arts and has trained in several Ryu’s, however, he holds the Classical Master Soke Fumon Tanaka in the highest regard. The focus of David Huntley is primarily the Traditional Forms of Jujutsu.

SENSEI RICHARD HUNTLEY has over 17 years experience of Jujutsu, earning his 1st Dan Grade at 10 years of age.

In 2007, Richard represented Great Britain at the World Martial Arts Games held in Germany, where he took the Bronze medal in Sport Jujutsu. Richard has featured in several newspapers (Gazette & Herald Marlborough & Pewsey, Gazette & Herald Swindon, Wootton Bassett Cricklade & Highworth and The Swindon Advertiser), and has also featured on Brunel FM Radio and BBC Wiltshire Radio talking live with Shelly Keen about his success in Germany.

Since becoming a fully qualified Instructor, Sensei Richard specialises in Junior Training and continues to promote Jujutsu in the area, having recently opened new childrens classes in North Wiltshire. Sensei Richard continues to train the Lone Tree Jujutsu Kumite Squad, which has seen success with many Junior gold, silver and bronze medalists. Richard is currently studying NOCN Sports Coaching Level 3 at Worcestershire College. He is CRB checked and a qualified First Aider.

Richard has recently embarked on a new venture 'RH Martial Fitness' - be sure to check it out: www.rhmartialfitness.com.
